Meet the Pilot
The founder of DroneBuzz is Martin Vendrame. He has a strong military background, social skills and a keen entrepreneurial spirit. His time in the military taught him how to manage stressful and adrenaline-filled situations calmly and stay cool under pressure. Martin is a big geek on the inside and loves the opportunity to fly.
He is bold in his approach, which enables him to secure shots that others might be reluctant to get. Martin also welcomes any chance to educate people on what is possible with drones. He always puts an emphasis on gaining a firm understanding of what his clients truly want.

A word from Martin
Aviation has been a passion of mine since an early age.
After my military service, I wanted to keep serving and helping people by following my passion.
I believe drones are the future. DroneBuzz was created from the passion of flying, the heart for helping people and utilizing the latest technology.
Our Story
I started with my first drone in early 2016 with the goal of doing aerial photos and videos. I wanted to share my passion of aviation and at the same time, utilize the latest technology the world had to offer. My first project was with Castrol Raceway at the airport, which left an impression and with that experience, I started building my portfolio. Today, my business has grown to a new level which involves working on projects with some of Edmonton’s largest commercial real estate companies and others across Alberta. Through all this I was able to work with Elevate Aviation and expose people to drones by running classes. Now we’re building a drone course as part of Elevate Aviation's learning centre program and I’m excited to be one of the main instructors. In a way, I am now able to share my knowledge with other people/students who are equally as passionate about aviation as I am, which really excites me!
Currently, drones are mainly utilized for aerial photography and surveys, however some of the upcoming trends in the industry are: farming (drone spraying), drone delivery services, drone FPV (First Person View) filming and drone racing as a sport. I am most excited about the drone FPV filming trend and am one of the first in Alberta to provide this new type of filming and video footage. This type of flying has no automatic pre-sets which means all video movements are the true skills of the pilot himself in which the pilot must micromanage all aspects of the drone, both in the air and on the ground.
