Q. What exciting developments or projects do you foresee for DroneBuzz in 2024?
During the year, DroneBuzz is set to redefine the game in sport broadcasting! We're gearing up to offer live, real-time event broadcasting adding cutting-edge DJI streaming technology to FPV drones. I believe this innovative approach would be a game-changer for sporting events across Canada, providing viewers with an unparalleled and immersive experience. I also believe this will not only elevate the drone industry in Canada but also revolutionize how audiences engage with and experience major sporting events.
Q. How did the idea of organizing drone meet-ups in Edmonton come about, and what impact has it had on the local drone community?
The idea for drone meet-ups stemmed from a personal need to connect with fellow drone enthusiasts. Initially flying solo, I felt the urge to build a sense of community where we could share our passion and knowledge. These meet-ups have not only created a vibrant community but have also evolved into something more meaningful through our partnership with the Veteran's Association Food Bank, extending the meet-ups to include indoor drone racing year-round.
The inspiration behind creating my drone course came from recognizing a gap in the industry. Many advanced pilots, despite obtaining their licenses, found themselves unsure of how to apply their knowledge in real-life situations. My course is tailored for those aspiring to make a career out of drone piloting. In 2023, over 10,000 drone pilots in Canada have obtained their advanced licenses, and then what? The Proficient RPAS Pilot course focuses on practical, hands-on applications in complex aerospace and event scenarios, giving them a competitive edge in their careers.

Since establishing my business in 2016, I've partnered with businesses and event organizers in Edmonton and across Alberta, achieving significant milestones that have shaped the trajectory of my business. During this journey, I've committed to integrating new and innovative technologies, such as DJI Transmission systems, into my FPV drones to deliver high-quality live streams.
The intensity of seeing the world through my goggles, keeping up with the action, and delivering for clients addicted me to the rush. It's that same passion that I pour into my business. My military background has instilled in me the ability to manage stressful and adrenaline-packed situations calmly, ensuring a cool demeanor under pressure.
My bold and adventurous approach empowers me to capture shots that others might hesitate to pursue, adding an extra layer of excitement and uniqueness to my drone services.
